Jovani Prom

Just a few days ago we showed you our Best Dresses of the 2014 Grammys picks and how you can get them for prom. But, there's one more celeb look that we're loving that we didn't share in that post: Brooklyn Haley's dress! The actress and singer/songwriter wore one of our favorite dress designers, Jovani, at the awards show.

Brooklyn strutted the Grammys red carpet in such style, wearing Jovani style 2913. This dress is a long sexy gown that features intricate beading with sheer panels and a tulle skirt. As if the sexy sheer panels isn't enough, it also has a stunning open back! Even though it's not a high-low dress, this look gives off a similar look as a high-low with the sheer skirts - It's a great way to wear a long gown but still show off a little leg!

With how popular the sheer and gems style dresses have been lately, this is a great way to wear the sexy trend in a gown form. Of course, with it also having an open back, this dress has so many trends we're loving in one look! And, there's definitely no better way to feel and look like a celebrity at prom than to wear a dress that a celeb wore.

If you go for a super sparkly look like Style 2913, just make sure to keep your accessories to a minimum like Brooklyn does. She let the dress stand out for itself, and she looked so pretty doing it!

If you haven't heard of Brooklyn Haley before, she's an up-and-coming artist that reminds us of Hilary Duff and Selena Gomez. Check out the music video for her latest single "Crash" below - you'll probably recognize it once you hear it! There will be lots more from Brooklyn on both the red carpet and in music scene, so keep a look-out!

If you haven't noticed yet from our 2014 People's Choice Awards and Golden Globes posts, Award Season is officially in full swing! The PCAs and GGs are officially over, and we're now onto the 19th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards, and you better believe the red carpet was full of such gorgeous dresses!

Our favorite look of the night was worn by Best Man Holiday actress Nia Long, who wore one of our favorite dress designers, Jovani, on the 2014 Critics' Choice Awards red carpet. She wore Jovani style 77542, a curve-hugging jersey cutout gown. The age-defying actress looks amazing in just about anything, but this sheer cutout dress looked exceptionally perfect on her! The dress hugged her curves so perfectly, showing off just the right amount of skin with the sheer cutouts and open back.

During the awards ceremony, Nia hit the stage with actor Kellan Lutz to present the Best Young Actor/Actress award to Adele Exarchopoulos for her work in the film Blue Is the Warmest Color. Congrats, Adele! Continue reading →

With Christmas and Kwanzaa finally here, Hanukkah and Thanksgiving passed, and New Year's on its way, we wanted to wish all of our Roo Girls a very Happy Holidays from Rissy Roo's! We hope everyone is having a wonderful and safe holiday season with family and friends! Most importantly, in true Roo spirit, we hope everyone is having and has had a very PINK Holiday!

We especially love Jovani's because it was put together by Victoria's Secret featuring the VS Angels! Could you think of a  better mash-up than Victoria's Secret and Jovani?? We sure can't! We were GLUED to our seats last night during the finale of The Voice. Every contestant was amazing; which made it extremely difficult to predict who the winner would be!

But then, the beautiful, Tessanne Chin, who is on team Adam Levine, sung her heart out and stole the crown! And a kiss from Adam! What a lucky lady. We may have been a little jealous of the kiss Adam laid on the the upcoming starlet but the thing we were envying most is the HOT Jovani dress Tessanne was rocking! Between Jacquie Lee wearing Sherri Hill on The Voice a few weeks ago, and Tessanne in Jovani this week, it has officially turned into our favorite season of The Voice!

Doesn't she look gorgeous? She's wearing Jovani style 6433, and it accentuates Tessanne's body perfectly! Jovani 6433 is a fitted, black, plunging neckline, sleeveless gown with trendy silver detailing. If you're daring and love taking fashion risks, this dress would be perfect for your special event!

This particular finale of The Voice was dubbed "the biggest finale ever" because it featured performances from the likes of Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, and One Republic! Although we LOVE all of the performers that played, we can't help but think that this was the biggest finale ever due to Tessanne's Jovani dress! We couldn't keep our eyes off it all night long and it even caught our attention more than CeeLo Green's flashy outfit! (And, Adam Levine's beautiful face.)

Another reason why we love the dress so much? Because Jovani doesn't only make the look in a floor-length gown, but they also created it in a short cocktail dress! The short dress is Jovani style 2963, and is definitely a perfect pick to rock the style for the holidays! It especially makes for a totally glam rock NYE look.

Congrats to Tessanne Chin & Adam Levine for making a great team and winning this season of The Voice!

It's Fall, The Vampire Diaries Season Premiere was last night, and The Originals' had their show premiere earlier this week! We are most definitely back into the Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, and Paul Wesley spirit!

One thing that we're always loving is Nina's style. Not only does she wear some killer styles on The Vampire Diaries, but she never disappoints off-screen, either. Seventeen Magazine posted a picture of Nina all ready for the Fall months, wearing a leather jacket and purple ombre jeans that we're totally crushing over. She looked so chic, and we just can't get over the ombre look!

For a cute short purple ombre look for Homecoming, we love Dave & Johnny style 8725. The dress has spaghetti straps and an exaggerated sweetheart neckline. The jewels and elegant beadwork all throughout the bodice gives the dress such an opulent look.

For a deep to light purple bold look like Nina's jeans, it's all about La Femme style 17004! It's a gorgeous ombre chiffon gown with criss-cross designs across the sweetheart neckline. This simple and elegant dress lets the ombre speak for itself, the same way that Nina let her pants speak for themselves by pairing them with a plain black shirt and jacket.

For a fun and sparkly look, we're obsessed with Jovani style 6432. It's a strapless ball gown with a mirrored sequin bodice and ombre skirt. It's a perfect way to really have a stand-out look!

Miss Latina Global 2013 was recently held in August, and it was a night to remember! There was so many gorgeous looks all throughout the pageant, that it had us getting so excited that Homecoming Season is finally here, and Prom is just around the corner. This pageant got us especially in the Homecoming and Prom mood, though, because two of our favorite dress designers were at the forefront of the pageant: Shail K. and Jovani!

All of the delegates wore Shail K. KL3224 as the opening dress to the pageant. It was the perfect dress for an opening number because everyone looked so sparkly and glamorous!

Shail K. style KL3224 is a unique combination of sweet, shiny, and sexy. This short cocktail dress seamlessly combines a beautifully hand beaded lusciousness with an off-shoulder neckline and a fun, flowing skirt, giving this party dress a timeless look. If you don't have a pageant to wear it to like the Miss Latina Global delegates, get it for Homecoming, and wear it again for a Holiday Party!

That's not the only time you see Shail K. at the pageant, though! Lexi Lopez wore Shail K. KK3133L as she was crowned Miss Latina Global 2013 Runner Up. This hand beaded gown fits like a glove and accentuate your curves perfectly. It's a great gown not only for a pageant, but for Prom, too!

Miss Teen Latina Global 2013, Karla Mercado, looked so elegant being crowned in Jovani 1531. It's a lace floor length mermaid gown that features piping and sheer panels at the top bodice and a tiered tulle skirt. Karla showed so well that this dress is the perfect combination of elegance and sexiness!

Congrats to this year's winners! All of the girls who competed were so talented and beautiful - it definitely must have been difficult for the judges to pick the winners!

Black and White is a classic combination that never goes out of style, no matter the year or season. It's a style that adds elegance to any look. Lately, it's been a trend that's been getting a lot more attention, so we wanted to give it a special spotlight and make it our Trend of the Week.

You better believe that celebrities have been all over this trend lately. It’s a great color trend to play around because you can so easily go from day to night in a black and white outfit, just by changing your accessories and makeup. Not only that, but it's appropriate for any occasion and any age group, so it's of course a great choice for Homecoming or Prom!
