The Holiday 2014 Season is here, and that means that lots and lots of parties are on their way! This is definitely a time where every girl needs a few stand-out short dresses in their closet for the various party occasions that are sure to pop up. Well, dress designer Alyce Paris recently shared some of their favorite short 'going out' dresses, and we're loving them! They picked looks that are so versatile that they can take you from a night out with friends, to a fancy Christmas or New Year's Eve party, to even After Prom! Alyce Paris picked 6 dresses, but we've narrowed it down to just 3 here to help make your searching a little easier. 1. Alyce Paris style 4375

Alyce Paris 4375 is such a classy going out dress! It's a jersey cocktail dress with an illusion neckline, geometrical sequins and beads around the neckline, with an open back design. Alyce said: "This jersey dress will show off your amazing figure, and the sequin beading around the neckline gives you a stand out look."

2. Alyce Paris 4391

Alyce Paris 4391 is so sparkly that it couldn't be more perfect for the Holidays! It's a fully sequined cocktail dress with multicolor accent stones on the bodice that's perfect for any body type. Alyce said: "Short dress #4391 would make an amazing dress for New Years Eve, holiday parties or simply a girls night out on the town."

3. Alyce Paris 4346

Go for classic sparkles with Alyce Paris 4346 (blue sequined cocktail dress in the middle of the above photo)! It's a strapless sweetheart cocktail dress with a pleated sequin bodice and crystal beading on the right side of the waist. The best part about this dress? It's on sale! It was originally $198.00, but is now on sale for only $108.00! At this price, it couldn't make for a better New Year's Eve dress.

2014 is officially here, and if you haven't made (or started) your 2014 New Year's Resolutions yet, it's definitely time! Picking out a New Year's Resolution(s) is a great way to set goals for the coming year and make sure you stick to them. So, we definitely recommend every Roo Girl to make a resolution or two and work to stay on-track to keep it. Whether it's making sure you dress your best no matter where you're heading, like the resolution we talked about a few days ago, eating healthier, working out more, or just reading more books, pick something to strive for that will make you feel like a better person once you complete the goal.

If you're just struggling to pick our a resolution, we're here to help you! One of our favorite fashion blogs The Glitter Guide (can you guess why it's one of our favorites??) recently posted their 2014 New Years Resolutions, and we're loving it! They came up with a list of resolutions that are so great not only for a Glitter Girl, but for a Roo Girl too, so we wanted to make sure to share their list. Check it out below!

With Christmas and Kwanzaa finally here, Hanukkah and Thanksgiving passed, and New Year's on its way, we wanted to wish all of our Roo Girls a very Happy Holidays from Rissy Roo's! With Christmas Eve finally here, of course we had to pick out a special dress this week that was reminiscent of the the holiday. That's why this week's Dress of the Week is Night Moves style 7045, and we're sure that you can guess why!

Night Moves 7045 is a one-shoulder short cocktail dress in a stretch jersey fabric, with a neckline that's embellished with beautiful beads and crystals. The dress comes in two colors: Red and Black. The Red version of this dress has us so excited for Christmas - the color it comes in couldn't be any more Christmas-y, and the stunning beadwork reminds us of beautiful ornaments on a Christmas tree! If you have a formal Christmas party to attend, this is definitely a great choice. The color will have you in the Christmas mood, and the one-shoulder long sleeve is perfect for the winter months.

The Christmas-y red color this dress comes in isn't the only reason we chose it as our Dress of the Week, though. With Christmas here, we know that New Year's Eve is the next big night just around the corner. And, this dress is just as great for Christmas as it is for an NYE party! While you could wear it in red if you want a stand-out NYE look, we especially love this dress in black for New Year's Eve. It's a classic look that you'll not only get use out of on NYE, but you'll be able to wear it time and time again!

With Christmas less than a week away, you can guess that this week's Dress of the Week post is dedicated to being Christmas party ready! White would also be a fun choice for NYE if you really want to stand out, especially with how popular the Winter White trend has been!
