Back in April, we wrote an article about how one of our favorite dress designers Tony Bowls was announced the Official Evening Gown Sponsor of Miss America, which is to be held in September in our home town of Atlantic City, NJ. Well, September is finally here, and the Miss America 2014 Pageant is only 4 days away - this coming Sunday, September 14th! Between the pageant being held in South Jersey, and it featuring one of our very own dress designers, you better believe we're excited for Miss America 2014! We're also particularly excited because of some news about the pageant that was recently announced. Read on!

For the first time in pageant history, every single contestant will wear a different gown by the same exact dress designer... you guessed it... Tony Bowls! Not only that, but designer Tony Bowls decided to create 53 custom gowns to showcase his designs to more than 10 million people who will be tuning in on September 14th.

Twitter was abuzz as each contestant received her custom gown before heading to Atlantic City. Miss Arizona Alexa Rogers tweeted, "Got my @TonyBowls @MissAmericaOrg gown today and WOW!! Beyond my wildest dreams! It. Is. Perfection."

Miss Mississippi Jasmine Murray tweeted, "It is here!! @JasmineSMurray loves her @MissAmericaOrg gown by @TonyBowls!"

What's even more exciting is that the contestants are not the only ones who can get their hands on a custom Tony Bowls creation! One lucky pageant viewer will be able to look like Miss America at her Homecoming or Prom. Every woman in America will have the opportunity to win any gown that graces the Miss America stage. For the chance to win, simply visit, "Evening Gowns" and post a Tweet on Twitter or Like the Tony Bowls Fan Page.

The lucky winner will be able to select her prize from the Miss America stage and Tony Bowls will personally make a replication of the dress according to her size. How cool is that - a Tony Bowls Miss America custom gown?! Talk about a unique Prom or Homecoming dress!

Last week, we shared Taylor Swift's brand new song Shake It Off and her announcement that she'll be coming out with a new album on October 27th called 1989. Well, we have another inside scoop for you! Tay and Lorde are besties, so it's no surprise that Lorde got a sneak peek of what 1989 is all about.

Just as we suspected the new hit single "Shake It Off" is only the beginning of many more fun and catchy songs from Swift. Here's what Lorde had to say when she was interviewed by the New Zealand radio station The Edge:

"I actually heard it [Shake It Off] a while ago. I love it. What I'm gonna say about it [1989] is...that it is quite simply, as someone who's a fan of pop music, it is joyous. It is such a great record. Honestly, it's so good."

Well, now we definitely can't wait for Taylor Swift's new album to come out! That's not all Lorde talked about with The Edge, of course, though (she announced that she'll be going on a tour of New Zealand!). We'll make sure to keep you updated as new news on 1989 is released!

We love summer...but we're also huge fans of the fall months because of Homecoming, and because while it may be a littler cooler out, the fall is still perfect weather for dresses. So, we were happy to hear of some exciting news from Starbucks to help us get into the fall (and Homecoming) mood! Although autumn doesn't technically start until September 23rd, the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte may be coming sooner than you think! Nothing says fall like everything pumpkin, afterall!

The infamous drink (it even has it's very own Twitter handle!) isn't set to return until September 2nd, but a Starbucks representative recently hinted at an early release: "As in previous years, there may be an opportunity for customers to gain early access to this seasonal favorite."

That's not the only clue that Starbucks has revealed, though. The official Twitter account for the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte (@TheRealPSL) has been hinting that the drink will be back next week! Check out some of the hints Starbucks tweeted:

We can definitely second that "YAAAAAS" and will be following @TheRealPSL with eager anticipation! After all, what's better to pair with fall dress styles than a warm drink in your hand like apple cider or a Pumpkin Spice Latte?! We can only hope that Starbucks offers a special Summer Pumpkin Spice Latte on ice! Bring on the pumpkin!

One Direction made the Internet go crazy yesterday (as usual) when they gave Directioners clues about a big announcement that would be coming soon. After some minor (and by minor, we mean huge) panic attacks, the 1D boys finally revealed what they had in store for their fans! If you're reading this, we're sure you probably already know what the big surprise ended up being...but if you don't...it's that 1D announced the release of their brand new perfume, called "You and I." This is their third perfume, so we're happy to report that there's a brand new one available to continue to smell like our favorite rock stars.

Seventeen Magazine caught up with the boys and got the scoop behind the new perfume from Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson. The two boys told Seventeen all about what went into making their latest scent...and even more...like who inspires them when things get a little nuts on the road and what makes a girl sexy.

This was Liam's response to how they chose their latest scent:

"We went through a list of things and found what we liked and what we didn't like - what our girlfriends would wear and stuff, and that's kind of how we got around to it."

And, here's what Louis had to say on naming the perfume "You and I"

"We loved the song, and obviously it's quite personal. [The song] is a personal thing, and it's a personal thing with the fragrance, too - so that was the whole idea behind that. The title was actually the hardest thing for this one!"

Just yesterday we talked about dress designer Johnathan Kayne on the Red Carpet this Spring. Well, we're not done with updates from the designer yet! Read on for more JK news.

Even still, it looks like the JK design team is looking to take their creativity to new heights as they branch out with a new custom design business! This past Sunday night (June 8, 2014), Miss USA 2013 Erin Brady passed on her crown to Nia Sanchez, formerly Miss Nevada, to be crowned the new Miss USA 2014! While all of the contestants were incredible, the Las Vegas 24-year-old wowed the judges and audience through all 3 rounds of the competition: Swimsuit, Evening Gown, and Interview. As Miss USA 2014, she is now the 63rd Miss USA, and there is so much to know about this amazing girl. So, we loved that Parade Magazine simplified it for us with their "5 Things to Know about Miss USA 2014 Nia Sanchez." Check it out below!

5 Things to Know about Miss USA 2014, Nia Sanchez, from Parade Magazine:

1. She has a black belt in Tae Kwan Do

Nia is one badass girl! The Nevada native is a fourth-degree black belt in Tae Kwan Do. Nia To E!, "I started training when I was 8, and I started teaching when I was 12, and I was a certified instructor when I was 15. It's a good workout. It's a full body workout. I never get more tired working out than when I'm at the studio." And, she sure looks good doing it!

In the final round of the competition, Nia even related it back to learning Tae Kwan Do. When asked about the issue of sexual assault on campus, she explained the importance of self defense for women. She said, "More awareness [of the issue] is very important so that women can learn to protect themselves...I learned from a young age that you need to be confident and able to defend yourself, and I think that's something that we should really start to implement for a lot of women." We couldn't agree more!

 2. She's a Disney Princess!

Aside from wearing the Miss Nevada and now the Miss USA crowns, Nia has worked as a Disney Princess at Hong Kong Disney. Parade said that while there, she spent time dressing up as Cinderella, Princess Aurora, Belle, and Snow White. Check her out as Belle from Beauty and the Beast below!

3. She loves to travel

Nia began as an international traveler when she finished high school and moved to Europe to be a nanny. Since then, she has traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Asia as Miss Nevada. You can follow her on Instagram to see all of the amazing places she's been!

4. She is half Mexican

According to her bio on the Miss USA website, Nia is half Mexican and loves to travel to Mexico on mission trips.

5. She had a tough upbringing

When she was 6 years old, Nia and her mother lived in a women's shelter. The experience has taught her the importance of giving back, and she how works in a shelter. She said, "I can really relate to the women on a personal level because I've been there and I've been through those experiences."

We can't wait to see what our new Miss USA does in her year-long reign! And, we definitely cannot wait for her to compete in Miss Universe 2014 later this year!

It looks like not all dream prom dates consist of hot hunk musicians and A-list actors! One Connecticut girl had her eyes on taking someone else to her prom, and he was definitely more than the average person to appear randomly on Page Six...it's Vice President Joe Biden!

It turns out Talia Masseli, a student at Newington High School in Newington, Connecticut had a deep desire to have Biden escort her to her Senior Prom. She made this decision back in the Fall and took priority in writing him as soon as possible explaining, “I am inviting you so far in advance because I’m sure many 17-year-old girls send you prom invitations, and I had to beat them to it.” She later cheerily announced, “I could only tolerate a high school dance if I was to be escorted by the most delightful man in America.” Way to go Talia! If this was an election for sweetest and most confident promposal, you would have our votes!

 Even though the Vice President attending Talia's prom would have been the ultimate fairytale, Biden had a scheduling conflict that did not permit him to be in Connecticut at the same time as the event. However, Talia did receive a sweet ending! Talia got a package at her home before the prom with a beautiful corsage made of red, white, and blue flowers along with a note from Joe Biden on official White House stationary. He expressed,  “I am flattered, but my schedule will not permit me to be in Connecticut on Friday evening, but I hope you will accept this corsage and enjoy your prom as much as I did mine.” Wow, what a guy!

Even though Talia didn't get to go to prom with her dream guy, she still has a wonderful story and an extra special gift! Vice President Biden invited her to visit Washington, DC this summer, which she plans to do!
