A black peplum gown is a classic look that's perfect for so many formal events. Crazy for Sherri Hill Polka Dot Dresses!

As I did my normal Instagram "stalking" session last night before bed, I came across Kris Jenner's Instagram, where she posted a picture of Kylie Jenner wearing the below breathtaking Sherri Hill dress. I had to find this dress, and knew if anyone would have it, it would of course be Rissy Roo's, as they are constantly getting in only the best designer dresses. So of course, the next day I woke up bright and early and headed over to the dress store. As I walk through the magical double doors, I see it! The two piece polka dot and lace Sherri Hill dress, style 21260 is hanging there front and center, and I could not wait to try it on.

It turns out Kylie Jenner did a prom spread for Seventeen Magazine and this gorgeous dress was featured. I was even more excited to wear the number, considering this dress is now "famous." The girls in the store got so excited because none of them saw it on anyone but the Sherri Hill's models and Kylie as of yet. So, we decided to have some fun and re-create the look Kylie did. It was such a fun experience: the long black gloves add a sleek, sexy look, the high waisted skit is extremely flattering, the lightly beaded top with the high neck was classy, yet sexy, and the added necklace tied everything together. It all fit so perfectly together (and on me) that I felt like this dress was made for me!

This two-piece number isn't the only Sherri Hill polka dot look for 2014, though! Sherri Hill was all about polka dots this season, and some of them are a part of the special Sadie Robertson Live Original collection that her and the Duck Dynasty celebrity put together. The polka dots trend is such a fun, classy, and sexy look, so I'm not complaining! The designer created different designs for different body types, from the two piece dress that I tried on, to a flirty short polka dot dress with a sweetheart neck, to a full ball gown with a mesh illusion high neck and a sequined sweetheart neck, and a strapless mermaid style gown. Each design is unique and sure to be a head-turner whether you are wearing this to Prom, a cocktail party, or other (semi) formal event. Steal Rita Ora's Style from the EMA Awards!

Who tuned into the EMA Awards this past Sunday, November 10th? We sure did! There's nothing more entertaining than music and dresses, and when the two are put together it ensures a great time!

There were many fashion do's and a few fashion don'ts! According to Perez Hilton, Rita Ora was "Blah in Black" at the 2013 EMA's.

Although Rita's dress at this year's award show was deemed "blah" and "boring", her unique and daring dress from last year's EMA awards caught our eye and had us gushing so much that we're still talking about it!

We love a good ball gown. Especially one that's red.. and LACE! Rita looked like a million bucks from head to toe and we're going to show you how to accomplish this lavish look!

Mac Duggal style 61393R is so similar to the dress Rita Ora is wearing that you shouldn't be surprised if you're accidentally mistaken for the starlet. We adore the way the nude illusion leaves room for the red lace to really pop and catch eyes!

Rita decided to go with a red lip, which we think is fabulous, but if you want to tone the look down a bit you could go for a more natural make-up approach as shown in the picture above. Finger Waves are also a MUST! Finger waves and lace give off a very vintage vibe; which is why the two go together perfectly.

Lastly, you can't forget your accessories! Try to keep the bling to a minimum because the dress makes a huge statement on it's own! We chose the Johnathan Kayne Austria - Swarovski Austrian Crystals heels, the Helen's Heart (JB-PD00339) Gold Bracelet and the Helen's Heart (E06245) Gold Crystal Stone Earrings.

With last year's outfit in mind, we're not surprised that Rita landed on the "blah" list this year. Any dress is sub-par compared to this goddess gown!

DIY Vampire Makeup Tutorial for Halloween!

Halloween is almost here, and we've been in full swing of matching our pretty dresses with accessories for a classy (and classic) Halloween look. Just a few days ago, we showed you how you can so easily create a sexy witch or vampire look with a little black dress. Today, we're here to show you how to finish off that look with makeup! Roo Girl Stephanie went to work to show you how you can easily create a perfect sultry look with makeup...it's all about that deep, dark eyeshadow! Check out her video below. Even though LBDs are an easy and affordable way to get the perfect vampire dress, designers lately have been all about lace and darker colors for Fall 2103. So, it's made for so many great dresses that are so perfect to be used for a vamp costume, and Stephanie shows off one of our favorites at the end of the video: Sherri Hill style 21156. The combination of the fitted corset-like bodice, elegant black jewels, black lace, and deep red color on this dress screams to be paired with fangs and just the right amount of blood for a super classy and sexy vamp look! It also comes in a black color that's great for being a vampire, too.

Rock the Black and White Fashion Trend

Black and White is a classic combination that never goes out of style, no matter the year or season. It's a style that adds elegance to any look. Lately, it's been a trend that's been getting a lot more attention, so we wanted to give it a special spotlight and make it our Trend of the Week.

You better believe that celebrities have been all over this trend lately. It’s a great color trend to play around because you can so easily go from day to night in a black and white outfit, just by changing your accessories and makeup. Not only that, but it's appropriate for any occasion and any age group, so it's of course a great choice for Homecoming or Prom!

The 2013 Video Music Awards are here, and the red carpet was full of so much funky fashion on Sunday, August 25th! VMA fashion is definitely known for its outrageous moments, and this year was no different. From Brittney Spears' bear-all lace look in 2001 to Lady Gaga's meat ensemble in 2010, the outfits that have graced the VMA red carpet have always been questionable in taste, but very legendary when it comes to impact!

To us Roo Girls, it's all about finding that balance between taste and impact, and there were a few lady celebs who towed that line so well this year. Celebrities like Katy Perry and Ciara made a bold fashion statement, while stile rocking an elegant look. Check out what they wore below and how you can get their look for Homecoming or Prom.

Katy Perry rocked animal print in such a unique and stylish way at the 2013 VMAs. The knee-length skirt and long sleeves added class, while the form-fitting style and high slit showed off her curves so well. We also loved the little pieces of fur on the dress - it gave it just the right amount of VMAs flare!

Want Katy Perry's animal print look for Homecoming? We love Night Moves style 6650, a strapless animal print cocktail dress. We love this dress because it channels the funkiness of Katy's look with the bead and crystal accents that are all over the dress.
