Episode 19 of Season 4, called "Pictures of You," was all about the very thing we know all of our Roo Girls are getting ready for right now: Prom! We loved seeing Caroline (Candice Accola), Bonnie (Kat Graham), and Elena (Nina Dobrev) looking beautiful in their prom gowns. This week's Dress of the Week is an ode to the stunning two-piece look Kylie Jenner wore to the 2013 MTV Movie Awards this past weekend. We couldn't get over how gorgeous and grown-up Kylie looked in her white crop top and ivory high waisted skirt. It was such a chic look!

From Taylor Swift to Anne Hathaway to Charlize Theron, the bridal inspired dresses have been the hottest trend on the red carpet for the 2013 awards season. Celebrities have shown that you don't need to get married to look beautifully elegant in white! And, with white being such a popular color this year off the runway (you can catch up on the trend in our Winter White blog post), too, it's certainly a perfect look to rock at prom.

To get the look, you can choose a fabulous frock that's complete with embellishments and beading for a little extra glitz, or opt for stunning simplicity with a crisp, plain palette. Regardless of the style, white is the perfect balance of classy and sexy. Below are our favorite white gowns for Prom 2013 - find your perfect one and say "I do" to a glamorous, sexy bridal inspired prom gown!

Shail K SK3830L is one of our favorite dresses to rock the bridal prom look. The gorgeous hand beaded floral design on the top gives the dress such elegance and style, and the flowing layers give it an ethereal look. We especially love the unique hand beaded cross back that adds some sexiness to the look.

La Femme style 18566 is a perfect white gown if you want a stunningly simple look. Elegant with a touch of glam, the gown features a sweetheart neckline lined with medium sized rhinestones. The bodice is ruched and slightly gathered at the center to give the skirt a flowing silhouette.

Precious Formals style P10502 is so sexy!  The evening gown has a sheer corseted bodice with an overlay of lace and sequins, and a trailing skirt of oval sequins.

Whether you wear white in a simple, sexy, or elegant way, the color will have you sure to look like a princess on prom night. Best yet, since white is a neutral color, you can accessorize your dress just about however you want! Give it a funky look with bright accessories, glam it up with metallics and sparkles, or keep it simple by pairing the dress with other neutral colors.

 

The 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards Show was held this past Sunday, April 7th, and we can tell that it's definitely Spring Time because so many of the celebrities were in cute short dresses! Of course, the celeb looks were as perfect as ever, and were certainly giving us lots of inspiration for Prom and Spring Formals!

As far as short looks went at the ACM Awards, the three celebs that we loved the looks of were: Carrie Underwood, Sheryl Crowl, and Miranda Lambert. And, our favorites of their dresses weren't the ones that they actually wore to the awards show, but the ones they wore on the stage during their performances. Check out what they wore below, as well as perfect dresses to get their look for your next formal event!

Carrie Underwood's little black lace dress couldn't have been any cuter, and certainly couldn't of been any more on-trend! Lace has been so popular lately, and we loved the way it looked on her dress!

 To get her look for Prom or a Formal Event, Sherri Hill style 2957 couldn't be any more perfect. It's an elegant lace number with a similar sheer sweetheart neckline, cap sleeves, and fitted bodice as Carrie's dress that comes in colors black and white. You could always add some cute black gloves to finish off Carrie's look!

Sheryl Crow were a sparkly gold frock that made her shine on stage during her performance! We loved how the dress sparkled so beautifully when the light reflected off of it.

 For a similar gold sparkly look, Precious Formals style P8873 is a great option. This criss cross halter dress is stunningly covered in hand work sequins and has a sunburst pattern cutout in the back, making this short number very sleek and sexy.

Miranda Lambert was another little black look that we loved. Her corset bodice and fringe skirt outfit was just so much fun!

Claudine for Alyce style 2233 is perfect for rocking Miranda's look at prom. Fringe, sequins and jewels says it all in this dress!

Even though pastels are so in lately, neon has been holding strong for a while now and it certainly doesn't plan on going anywhere any time soon. As soon as the warmer weather starts rolling in, we can't help but want to put more colors on...and the brighter, the better!

Prom is certainly the best time to show off your individuality, but it can still be hard to stand out in the crowd with all of the beautiful dresses that the other girls will be wearing. E! News recently caught up with Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson to get the latest scoop on what's going on in her life. They talked about her upcoming movie Spring Breakers, and there was even a little hint that Ashley may be dating James Franco! We are so in hot pursuit to find out more about that rumour!

Our favorite part about the interview, though, was when Ashley revealed her favorite Faviana prom looks to the pop news channel! You can check out her favorite dresses, as well as the whole video, below!

Ashley on Faviana Glamour style S7150: "The detailing's really awesome. I love sequins, and it's a flowy dress and it's sexy. It goes low in the back and it has a criss-cross."

Ashley on Faviana style 7189: "This is amazing! This is one of my favorites, as well, because it is shorter. It's so adorable, and if you don't want the back of your dress stepped on at prom, it's so easy to go short and this is really cute."

Taylor Swift has worn many beautiful dresses, but one of our all-time favorites is still the silver sequined number she wore to the 42nd Annual Country Music Awards in Nashville in 2008. The gown was perfectly form-fitting to her figure, and the beautiful silver sparkles had her shining all night!

For those that love the celebrity styles and want to rock them for prom, it can be difficult to find a similar look sometimes. But this year, worry not! Faviana made a dress that's just like Taylor Swift's 42nd CMAs dress - Faviana style 6711! Inspired by Taylor's dress, it's a sequin evening gown with mesh straps. Prom is only weeks away, and we're sure that you're ready to bust a move on the dance floor. But, before the biggest night of the year, you have to make sure everything goes perfect...down to the nitty gritty details! In order to have a stress-free night, try to get everything done way in advance and have a handy check list. We are here to guide you through this stressful preparation, so we came up with important tips to follow for your dazzling night! This is a great list to print out and keep with you in the coming weeks to make sure there's nothing you forget!

Make sure your dress is tailored to perfection

Most of the time, dresses don't fit perfectly. You don't want to be uncomfortable and swimming in your dress! Go to the right seamstress and have her tailor it to your size and length. The length is especially important - you don't want it dragging on the dance floor. Make sure to bring the shoes you plan on wearing that night so that the seamstress can hem the dress properly.

Choose your Hair Style

Your hair is crucial! Make sure you book your appointment early enough in the day to give yourself plenty of time to get ready for Prom - you don't want to be late! Search for hairstyle ideas online and in magazines and bring pictures in with you so that the hairdresser knows what you want. You should also consider how it will look with your dress. Up-dos and half up-dos are great for one shoulder or high neck dresses. Strapless gowns can go with just about any hairstyle. One fun way to keep track of the hairstyles you like and compare them to each other is to make a Pinterest board.

Makeup and Nails to Compliment your Dress

You might want to book an appointment for makeup and nails also. You never know how crowded your favorite nail salon might be or how long the wait is for makeup. Getting a manicure and pedicure a couple days before is a great way for making prom day errands easier - just make sure that you don't chip them! If your prom dress is loaded with beads or has super bright colors, it's better to tone down your makeup and nails. Neutral nail colors and neutral eyeshadow colors are best with bright colors, lots of beading, and print. If you are wearing a neutral colored dress, you can go crazy...bold lips and bright nail polish for a pop of color!

Add some Bling with Jewelry

Jewelry is another important detail. It for the most part has the same makeup and nails rule; if you're wearing a blinged out sequin dress, you're going to want to tone down the jewelry. Otherwise, you'll have sparkle overload! Too much can overkill your whole look, so try to keep it simple.

Complete your Look with your Shoes

Your shoes are what completes your look. You don't want to look like your in pain in a gorgeous dress. Practice makes perfect! Try breaking them in a few weeks before. If that doesn't help, try slipping in padding or insoles. If your shoes are too tight, find a local shoe repairman and have them stretched out. You'll have a more confident walk!

Add a Hint of Personality with your Purse

A purse is always a great way to add some personality to any outfit. Pick a simple bag that blends in with your dress, or choose a funky clutch that's the statement piece of your outfit! Just remember, depending on your dress and jewelry, you don't want to be too blinged out.

Don't forget your Camera!

Of course, the most important accessory of all is your camera! It's a special night, and you'll want to take all the photos you can. Whether a disposable, a point-and-shoot, or the handy dandy camera on your smart phone, just make sure that you have plenty of room to take lots and lots of pictures. And, ideally, have something small enough that fits in your purse!
