The 75th Golden Globe Awards was held on Sunday, January 7th in Beverly Hills, California. The vibe was much different than past award ceremonies. The 2018 Golden Globes, which honored film and American television of 2017, did much more than honoring celebrities. It was the first awards ceremony to take place after many Hollywood sexual abuse cases have come into the news as of late, and the awards ceremony made sure to take the time to address the issue.
Everyone dressed in black in solidarity with people who have been victims of sexual abuse. There was also talk about Time's Up, Hollywood's new initiative to get victims of sexual harassment in low-income jobs legal help. It also has a goal of pushing anti-harassment legislation.
The most talked-about moment was when Oprah Winfrey took the stage. She was on stage to accept the Cecil B DeMille Award for lifetime achievement. It was a special moment, as she was the first black woman to take home the award. In her acceptance speech, she honored the past, and urged all to be hopeful for the future. Oprah's speech was so powerful, and to see all of the celebrity women walk the red carpet in black added to the special meaning behind this year's Golden Globes. This year's ceremony was a show of power, not the usual fashion.
With that said, we saw one celebrity walking the Golden Globes red carpet in one of our favorite designers. Of course we got excited over it! Giuliana Rancic rocked a Sherri Hill dress! She wore Sherri Hill style 51735, in black a conscious choice to support the #MeToo movement and women empowerment.
The E! News host always has great style, so it was no surprise to see her rock a Sherri Hill gown. The top of the sparkling gown features a criss-cross neckline and keyhole. The bottom of the gown runs straight from her waist to the carpet. It was a classic silhouette, with just enough glamour for the perfect red carpet presence.
While this dress looks beautiful in black, and had a very important meaning behind the color for Giuliana, this dress also comes in many other colors. You can choose to rock it at prom in Rose Gold, Gold, Jade, Navy, Purple, Red, Royal, or Black like Giuliana.
With the year coming to a close, another 2017 awards ceremony is now but memory. The 45th Annual American Music Awards took place on November 19, 2017 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. It was hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross.
With the 2017 AMAs being the last awards show of the year, the pressure was on for celebrities to make best dressed lists. Outfits had to be on-point and paired perfectly with accessories, hair, and makeup. With the pressure so high, celebs either end up succeeding with flying colors or totally missing the mark. With Tracee Ellis Ross hosting the event, of course she is number one on our AMAs Best Dressed list. Our favorite look of hers for the night was the gorgeous burgundy sequined gown she wore on the red carpet.

Corrine Foxx is taking the fashion scene head-on this year! If you haven't heard this name yet, she is actor Jamie Foxx's daughter. Earlier this year, she walked the Sherri Hill runway to show off the designer's new Spring/Summer 2018 collection. Now, she's walking award show red carpets... right next to her big-time celebrity dad, of course.
Do you recognize the jumpsuit she's wearing? If so, that's because she's rocking another one of your favorite dress designers: Jovani! The halter jersey jumpsuit she's wearing is Jovani 50908. It's a stylish and sexy choice that still oozes with elegance for any event, whether the red carpet or the prom dance floor.

Selena went for full-on rock star at the 2017 American Music Awards. We loved her leather jacket inspired dress, and her brand new blonde hair! The black stilettos and clutch and red lips were the perfect way to finish off her rocker-chic look.

Worst Dressed at the 2017 AMAs
Yara Shahidi
While we love all that sparkles, actress Yara Shahidi has a lot going on with her AMAs look. The combination of collared shirt, dressy shorts, trench coat, and knee-high socks with heels looks more like a totally funky day-out-with-the-girls outfit, rather than a red carpet outfit.
Madeleine Petsch
Black dresses are perfect for any event, but there's a little too much going on with Madeleine Petsch's black dress. A black dress is all about classic elegance; keep it simple, rather than trying to fit every trend, like feathers, lace, illusion, deep v-neck, etc, all into one dress.
Sabrina Carpenter
We love Girl Meets World star Sabrina Carpenter, and she usually has such great style! But, she may have gone a little overboard with taking a cue from the funky styles she wears on Girl Meets World with her AMAs looks. While it's always fun to add a touch of uniqueness to your looks, keep it within limits for semi-formal and formal events.
Julia Michaels
We're not sure if Julia Michaels is trying to dress up as Lydia in her wedding dress from the Beetlejuice movie, a Christmas present, or a loofa Halloween costume! Either way, while bold red is a totally great color choice, the excessive layers of tulle are a little much.
Rene Bargh
We love army green, but it may be misplaced at a formal event, especially when paired with a statement belt like on Rene Bargh's AMA dress.
Remember, whether on the best or worst dressed list, there are always style cues you can take and incorporate into your own outfits. So, even if there are certain elements of the worst dressed looks you loved, don't be afraid to incorporate them into your next outfit! After all, the most important thing in dressing up is choosing something you're comfortable and confident in.
We may be going into the cooler fall and winter months, but dress designer Sherri Hill is in full Prom 2018 mode with steaming hot new looks. While the new Sherri Hill Spring/Summer 2018 Collection isn't available yet, the designer held their runway show on Tuesday, September 13, 2017 as a preview of what's to come.

It looks like fringe is coming back in full-force with Sherri Hill for the upcoming season. So many looks featured chic fringe detail that we can't wait to get our hands on. Other than fringe, there were lots of bold colors, unique patterns and embellishments, florals, jumpsuits, dresses with capes, and lots of sparkles.
The gorgeous new Sherri Hill dresses are not the only reason that we loved what we saw on the Sherri Hill Spring/Summer 2018 runway. We also loved who we saw on the runway! With the 2017 Prom Season now over, the pictures and videos have been pouring in of our customers in their gorgeous prom dresses. From totally glam styles to classic looks, our Roo Girls all looked so gorgeous in their dresses. The latest pictures that we want to share with you were sent in by Danyelle Chere Jackson of her daughter, Mikhaela Jackson, in her prom gown. Danyelle shared a video and so many pretty pictures with us, and said:
"Thanks to the young lady that helped me find this dress for my princess Mikhaela! She and Braxton stunned at their Senior Prom. My sales rep was so awesome and she went beyond her job to find this dress for me! She called back numerous times to help me and that's why I ordered the dress from you instead of another location in Florida!!!! I am forever grateful for her! I cannot remember her name but she ROCKS!!!!... please send my thanks."

Mikhaela is from Cartersville, GA and attended the Cass High Senior Prom this past April with her prom date Braxton. The couple certainly couldn't have looked any cuter together! We loved Mikhaela's golden sparkly dress paired with her date's white tuxedo - such a perfect combination. Oh, and did you catch Braxton's shiny gold shoes? The couple certainly knew how to bring the style to prom.

The 2017 Prom Season is only just beginning, but we are excited to see that we are already receiving pictures from our customers looking beautiful in their prom dresses! The latest prom photo comes from Debra Phillips, mom of Glenisha Fortenberry. Debra posted a picture to our Facebook page, and said:
"Thanks for making my baby's prom come to life with this beautiful dress!! We loved it!!... She goes to Vicksburg High School in VIcksburg Mississippi..this was her senior prom."
How fierce does Glenisha look? She rocked her prom dress with such style, with bold fuchsia lips, a matching corsage, and elegant black nails. The prom dress that Glenisha chose is Tiffany Designs 46107, a magnificent mermaid gown that has the perfect balance of glam and classic. The beautiful black lace appliqués on this gown are delicately placed over a sheer overlay that makes for such an exquisite look, especially when paired with makeup like Gelnisha chose!
While Glenisha chose bold makeup to compliment her dress, she kept the accessories to a minimum in order to let the beautiful lace and jewels on the dress do all of the talking. She finished off her look with gold high heels for just the right amount of added glam.

Last week, we were all about gal celebrities Emma Stone and Jessica Biel at the 2017 Oscars, in their beautiful golden dresses. Of course, they weren't the only gorgeous looks at the Oscars; there were plenty more celebs looking glam from head to toe, from the red carpet to the stage. While we of course loved all of the dresses, we were so stunned to see one of our own prom 2017 dresses hit the Oscars 2017 stage that night!
Do you know what dress... or what dress designer we're referring to? Hint: it was during Justin Timberlake's performance. Still need some help? It was a Sherri Hill dress!
One of Justin's dancers rocked Sherri Hills style 50895 during his Oscars performance, showing off that the dress was certainly created for the dance floor. Of course, who wouldn't look good standing next to Justin? But, we're pretty sure it's the dress giving this dancer a gorgeous glow, in this case. We loved that Justin's dancer paired the dress with black strappy heals. We're also loving the red dancer emoji-esque pose that she's pulling off in the above photo ?! Perfection!
Style 50895 is a bold satin ball gown that features a high illusion plunge neckline, a fitted bodice, and a defined racerback with an exposed zipper and cutouts just above the cinched waistband. The 43rd People's Choice Awards, which honored the best in popular culture for 2016, was held this past Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. The awards show was so much fun to watch, and of course the red carpet was full of fabulous looks!
While there were so many celebrities in pretty dresses on the 2017 People's Choice Awards red carpet, our eye was on one celeb: Jodie Sweetin. If you don't recognize the name, you'll certainly recognize the character she place on TV. Jodie plays Stephanie Tanner on the sitcoms Full House and Fuller House! Of course, everyone loves Full House. Netflix has brought it back in such style with the new TV show Fuller House, and everyone has fallen in love with Stephanie and DJ Tanner all over again.
