The annual Met Gala was held in New York City on Monday night, April 6th, with this year highlighting the Metropolitan Museum of Art's spring collection, "PUNK: Chaos to Couture." We were so amazed by how many celebrities got into the theme!

It was hard to pick, but two of our favorite looks of the night were worn by Nina Dobrev and Kristen Stewart. We ultimately settled on these two celebs because we loved that they both rocked jumpsuits - it must be a vampire thing! Check out what they wore below and how you can get similar looks for your next formal event. If you want a stand-out look for prom, these rompers are certainly a perfect option!

Nina Dobrev

Nina looked all vamped out in her black lace jumpsuit! We loved how the feminine detailing of the lace and tulle overskirt was offset by the black leather harness - so punk! The Vampire Diaries star looked extra fierce with her dramatic eyeliner and mohawk-inspired hairdo. We're so used to her cute, girly look on The Vampire Diaries (except when she's playing Katherine, of course!), that we were amazed by her high-fashion, dark look.

 One of our jumpsuits for this year, Claudine for Alyce style 2232, immediately reminded us of Nina's look! Just like Nina's jumpsuit, it features beautiful lace and sheer for a chic look, a sweetheart neckline, and a long tulle overskirt. Continue reading →

Disney actress Bella Thorne recently shared photos with Seventeen Magazine of her all dressed up for prom with her friends! Bella wore a Sherri Hill dress to her 15th birthday party back in November, so you can only guess that she wore none other than Sherri Hill to her prom! The dress she chose was Sherri Hill style 21168, a beautiful jeweled high-low dress with spaghetti straps.

For those The Vampire Diaries fans out there, this past Thursday's episode was so intense, and fun! Episode 19 of Season 4, called "Pictures of You," was all about the very thing we know all of our Roo Girls are getting ready for right now: Prom! We loved seeing Caroline (Candice Accola), Bonnie (Kat Graham), and Elena (Nina Dobrev) looking beautiful in their prom gowns. This week's Dress of the Week is an ode to the stunning two-piece look Kylie Jenner wore to the 2013 MTV Movie Awards this past weekend. We couldn't get over how gorgeous and grown-up Kylie looked in her white crop top and ivory high waisted skirt. It was such a chic look!

From Taylor Swift to Anne Hathaway to Charlize Theron, the bridal inspired dresses have been the hottest trend on the red carpet for the 2013 awards season. Celebrities have shown that you don't need to get married to look beautifully elegant in white! And, with white being such a popular color this year off the runway (you can catch up on the trend in our Winter White blog post), too, it's certainly a perfect look to rock at prom.

To get the look, you can choose a fabulous frock that's complete with embellishments and beading for a little extra glitz, or opt for stunning simplicity with a crisp, plain palette. Regardless of the style, white is the perfect balance of classy and sexy. Below are our favorite white gowns for Prom 2013 - find your perfect one and say "I do" to a glamorous, sexy bridal inspired prom gown!

Shail K SK3830L is one of our favorite dresses to rock the bridal prom look. The gorgeous hand beaded floral design on the top gives the dress such elegance and style, and the flowing layers give it an ethereal look. We especially love the unique hand beaded cross back that adds some sexiness to the look.

La Femme style 18566 is a perfect white gown if you want a stunningly simple look. Elegant with a touch of glam, the gown features a sweetheart neckline lined with medium sized rhinestones. The bodice is ruched and slightly gathered at the center to give the skirt a flowing silhouette.

Precious Formals style P10502 is so sexy!  The evening gown has a sheer corseted bodice with an overlay of lace and sequins, and a trailing skirt of oval sequins.

Whether you wear white in a simple, sexy, or elegant way, the color will have you sure to look like a princess on prom night. Best yet, since white is a neutral color, you can accessorize your dress just about however you want! Give it a funky look with bright accessories, glam it up with metallics and sparkles, or keep it simple by pairing the dress with other neutral colors.

 

The 2013 MTV Movie Awards aired last night (Mon, 4/15) and they were so much fun! Rebel Wilson's jokes were hilarious, as usual, and the live performances by Selena Gomez and Macklemore were full of energy. It's no doubt, though, that our eyes were glued to the red carpet. All of the ladies looked so amazing, but there were two celebs that we particularly loved: Crystal Reed and Greer Grammer! The 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards Show was held this past Sunday, April 7th, and we can tell that it's definitely Spring Time because so many of the celebrities were in cute short dresses! Of course, the celeb looks were as perfect as ever, and were certainly giving us lots of inspiration for Prom and Spring Formals!

As far as short looks went at the ACM Awards, the three celebs that we loved the looks of were: Carrie Underwood, Sheryl Crowl, and Miranda Lambert. And, our favorites of their dresses weren't the ones that they actually wore to the awards show, but the ones they wore on the stage during their performances. Check out what they wore below, as well as perfect dresses to get their look for your next formal event!

Carrie Underwood's little black lace dress couldn't have been any cuter, and certainly couldn't of been any more on-trend! Lace has been so popular lately, and we loved the way it looked on her dress!

 To get her look for Prom or a Formal Event, Sherri Hill style 2957 couldn't be any more perfect. It's an elegant lace number with a similar sheer sweetheart neckline, cap sleeves, and fitted bodice as Carrie's dress that comes in colors black and white. You could always add some cute black gloves to finish off Carrie's look!

Sheryl Crow were a sparkly gold frock that made her shine on stage during her performance! We loved how the dress sparkled so beautifully when the light reflected off of it.

 For a similar gold sparkly look, Precious Formals style P8873 is a great option. This criss cross halter dress is stunningly covered in hand work sequins and has a sunburst pattern cutout in the back, making this short number very sleek and sexy.

Miranda Lambert was another little black look that we loved. Her corset bodice and fringe skirt outfit was just so much fun!

Claudine for Alyce style 2233 is perfect for rocking Miranda's look at prom. Fringe, sequins and jewels says it all in this dress!

Taylor Swift has worn many beautiful dresses, but one of our all-time favorites is still the silver sequined number she wore to the 42nd Annual Country Music Awards in Nashville in 2008. The gown was perfectly form-fitting to her figure, and the beautiful silver sparkles had her shining all night!

For those that love the celebrity styles and want to rock them for prom, it can be difficult to find a similar look sometimes. But this year, worry not! Faviana made a dress that's just like Taylor Swift's 42nd CMAs dress - Faviana style 6711! Inspired by Taylor's dress, it's a sequin evening gown with mesh straps. The best part about it, though, is if you loved Taylor's look, but rather wear it in a different color, Faviana made the dress in six different hues: Royal, Hunter Green, Lipstick, Silver, White, and Black.
