The 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival was held at the end of May, and there were so many stunning looks all throughout the festival! One of our favorite looks was worn by DJ and model Joy Vieli. She wore one of our favorite designers, Mac Duggal, at several events at the festival, so we were of course very amazed by her outfit choices! Some of the events Joy attended included director Sofia Coppola's exclusive yacht party, as well as an after party at VIP ROOM Famous Club. She was definitely both dressed up in style AND partying in style!

Our favorite look that she wore during the festival was Mac Duggal style 78703R, which is the gown she's wearing in the above picture. It's such an elegant gown, but we loved how she gave it her own edgy touch with hairstyle and bold lipstick (and of course, her fierce model stance!). Mac Duggal 78703R has sensational beaded floral designs that fill the center front of this spectacular floor length evening gown, giving it such a unique look. All eyes were definitely on Joy in this gown with a thigh high slit and sheer one shoulder design!

 It's a great dress for prom or any other formal event. Black goes with anything and everything, after all!

The 2013 CMT Music Awards on Tuesday, June 5 at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena had all of our favorite country music ladies walking the red carpet. And, you can bet that they looked stunning! From sexy short dresses that looked so perfect for summer, to glamorous gowns that had us wishing prom season wasn't coming to an end, we were swooning over all of the looks! As always, it was tough to narrow it down to a few best dressed, but, after much contemplation, we picked out our three favorites. Taylor Swift never disappoints when it comes to fashion (or music!), so it's no surprise that she landed in our top 3 list. She wore a strapless nude embroidered high-low Elie Saab gown. With her hair back, the focus was definitely on how gorgeous her dress was!

Sherri Hill style 8300 is an absolute perfect way to get Taylor's look. It is an elegant and simple sequined strapless dress with an asymmetrical hemline that you can rock in nude, just like Taylor. Or, find another color that you love even more - it comes in a variety of colors, such as red, coral, green, black, brown, and navy.

Kristen Bell wore an elegantly laced little black number from Zuhair Murad. It's such a beautiful cocktail dress that fit her so well!

To get Kristen's look, check out Sherri Hill style 2957. Twinkling accents completely coat its form-fitting sweetheart bodice, and lace detailing adds the perfect touch of elegance. Sheer material stretches up to produce an illusion panel with a scooped neckline.

Kellie Pickler just won Dancing with the Stars, and she was certainly showing off her win on the red carpet! She wore a plunging pink sequined gown with a beautiful open back.

For a sexy pink sequined look like Kellie's, Temptation style 2073 is the perfect choice. It's a long sequin dress featuring a halter neckline and open back. The silver sequin detailing under the bust helps to show off your curves!

Dresses with sheer bodices and lace detailing have been really popular for Prom 2013, and it was certainly a style to watch at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, too! The BBMAs were held on Sunday May 19th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and our favorite looks on the blue carpet (yes, blue...not red!) were worn by Ariana Grande and Jennifer Morrison. The annual Met Gala was held in New York City on Monday night, April 6th, with this year highlighting the Metropolitan Museum of Art's spring collection, "PUNK: Chaos to Couture." We were so amazed by how many celebrities got into the theme!

It was hard to pick, but two of our favorite looks of the night were worn by Nina Dobrev and Kristen Stewart. We ultimately settled on these two celebs because we loved that they both rocked jumpsuits - it must be a vampire thing! Nina looked all vamped out in her black lace jumpsuit! We loved how the feminine detailing of the lace and tulle overskirt was offset by the black leather harness - so punk! The Vampire Diaries star looked extra fierce with her dramatic eyeliner and mohawk-inspired hairdo. We're so used to her cute, girly look on The Vampire Diaries (except when she's playing Katherine, of course!), that we were amazed by her high-fashion, dark look.

From Taylor Swift to Anne Hathaway to Charlize Theron, the bridal inspired dresses have been the hottest trend on the red carpet for the 2013 awards season. Celebrities have shown that you don't need to get married to look beautifully elegant in white! And, with white being such a popular color this year off the runway (you can catch up on the trend in our Winter White blog post), too, it's certainly a perfect look to rock at prom.

To get the look, you can choose a fabulous frock that's complete with embellishments and beading for a little extra glitz, or opt for stunning simplicity with a crisp, plain palette. Regardless of the style, white is the perfect balance of classy and sexy. Shail K SK3830L is one of our favorite dresses to rock the bridal prom look. The gorgeous hand beaded floral design on the top gives the dress such elegance and style, and the flowing layers give it an ethereal look. We especially love the unique hand beaded cross back that adds some sexiness to the look.

La Femme style 18566 is a perfect white gown if you want a stunningly simple look. Elegant with a touch of glam, the gown features a sweetheart neckline lined with medium sized rhinestones. The bodice is ruched and slightly gathered at the center to give the skirt a flowing silhouette.

Precious Formals style P10502 is so sexy!  The evening gown has a sheer corseted bodice with an overlay of lace and sequins, and a trailing skirt of oval sequins.

Whether you wear white in a simple, sexy, or elegant way, the color will have you sure to look like a princess on prom night. Best yet, since white is a neutral color, you can accessorize your dress just about however you want! Give it a funky look with bright accessories, glam it up with metallics and sparkles, or keep it simple by pairing the dress with other neutral colors.

 

The 2013 MTV Movie Awards aired last night (Mon, 4/15) and they were so much fun! Rebel Wilson's jokes were hilarious, as usual, and the live performances by Selena Gomez and Macklemore were full of energy. It's no doubt, though, that our eyes were glued to the red carpet. All of the ladies looked so amazing, but there were two celebs that we particularly loved: Crystal Reed and Greer Grammer! All of the stars were out last night on Jan. 9th for the 2013 People’s Choice Awards at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, and we loved seeing them arrive on the red carpet! While everyone at Rissy Roo's unanimously agreed that Ian Somerhalder was our fave celebrity that walked the red carpet, we were of course also amazed at how beautiful all the ladies looked! At the AMA's, viewers are not only excited for the on-stage performers and winners, but also for the fashion! This year's red carpet was full of eye-catching gowns and short little numbers.

The favorite Country music album winner, Carrie Underwood, stunned everyone on the red carpet in a gorgeous embellished purple gown. The high neckline and cap sleeves really give it an elegant look.
